I pretty much always acquiesce to the demands of the dictator du maison, Herr Buster. Seen here glaring into the camera. But as I've become accustomed to his increasingly frequent demands, I've equally been able to occasionally enjoy a sparse free moment from my servitude.
It's his world, and we're just living in it. Sarah has been especially well trained.
Also, it rained this weekend. Sarah braved the rain and took some great pictures.
It rained most all of the weekend. It rained hard all morning on Saturday. Then the sun poked out, a little. I went out running in the sunshine when it looked like it might last. I may have run through a localized torrential down pour, or maybe it just started immediately raining again. I returned soaked and the sun was out again. I wrung out my shoes and socks as sun came in through the kitchen window.
Thus far it has been a beautiful Autumn in Seattle.
In spite of the rain and cold there have been many times when Seattle holds my attention, and I recall how much I love living here.
With the rain, we had the chance to do a variety of food experiments. Some of which are still being choked down midweek.
Making healthy pancakes? FAIL Though in failure we got to eat some delicious pancakes too.
The dictator du maison is calling again. I must leave for now.

I think he had me in a trance for that picture; I don't even remember it. He's so skilled in his manipulation, it almost looks like i'm smiling. creepy cat. err... benevolent leader.
I hope Buster comes home to visit at Thanksgiving, we'll borrow a kitty litter box somewhere. Hate to see Buster home alone for two weeks. You should see the start of Autumn here in A'town, the leaves are really just now starting to turn colors! Miss the great Pacific Northwest.
